The back-to-school flea market north of Amiens
The Vignacourt Réderie is one of the well-established back-to-school rendezvous on the Somme's bargain-hunting calendar. Vignacourt, a large village of nearly 2,200 inhabitants, hosts this réderie in early September each year.
Throughout the day, the streets of the Vignacourt centre come alive with exhibitors and bargain hunters.
Exhibitors, mainly private individuals, offer the classic Picardy bric-a-brac. A few semi-professionals complete the offering with antique furniture and collectibles.
Vignacourt enjoys particular fame thanks to the Thuillier-Raff collection, an exceptional set of photographic plates taken during the First World War.
The Vignacourt Réderie is among the essentials of the back-to-school bargain-hunting season.
