Grand car boot sale in the Landry district of Rennes with over 350 exhibitors and entertainment
Every last Sunday of September, the Landry district in Rennes hosts its big car boot sale. More than 350 exhibitors—exclusively individuals—take over Christian Bernon and Henri Bougeard streets to offer clothes, toys, books, crockery, trinkets, and everyday items at low prices. From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., treasure hunters browse the stalls in a friendly and good-natured atmosphere.
The Landry district is a residential area in western Rennes, appreciated for its calm and active neighborhood life. Local associations liven up the area throughout the year, and the annual car boot sale is one of the highlights of this associative life. Residents set up their stalls in front of their homes, creating a treasure-hunting circuit that winds through the neighborhood streets.
The Landry car boot sale is not just about the stalls: food trucks offer savory and sweet catering, sweet shops delight children, and entertainment punctuates the day. Registration takes place at the neighborhood center about a month before the event, at a rate of 6 euros for 2 meters of stall space. Vehicles are prohibited on the circuit from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
