Car boot sale and plant market organized by the Amicale des Parents d'Élèves and the Comité des Fêtes of Asprières, in Aveyron
The Vide-Grenier and Floralies of Asprières is a spring event that combines a flea market and a plant market in the heart of this Aveyron village located between Figeac and Decazeville. Jointly organized by the Amicale des Parents d'Élèves (APE) and the Comité des Fêtes d'Asprières, this friendly event takes place on rue du Midi and around the village hall. Bargain hunters will find a wide variety of items at low prices, while gardening enthusiasts can enjoy a wide selection of plants, flowers, and shrubs offered by local nurseries and producers. Asprières, a commune of 753 inhabitants nestled in the Lot valley between 167 and 546 meters above sea level, offers a rural and authentic setting for this day combining finds and greenery.
Each spring, the village of Asprières hosts its Vide-Grenier et Floralies, an event that skillfully blends the tradition of a car boot sale with a plant market. Organized by the Amicale des Parents d'Élèves and the Comité des Fêtes d'Asprières, this event takes over the rue du Midi and the areas around the village hall for a day of outdoor conviviality, starting at 8 am.
Private sellers set up along the rue du Midi to offer visitors a wide variety of items: crockery and ceramics, books and comics, clothing and accessories, toys and board games, gardening tools, furniture, and decorative trinkets. The atmosphere is that of a village car boot sale, warm and relaxed, where it's pleasant to stroll and bargain.
The unique feature of this event is its floralies component, a plant market that attracts amateur gardeners and botany enthusiasts. Local nurseries and producers present a wide selection of perennial plants, annual flowers, shrubs, vegetable plants, and aromatics. This flower market is an ideal opportunity to prepare your garden for the warmer days, with personalized advice from horticultural professionals.
