The village car boot sale on the banks of the Adour
Port-de-Lanne, a small village of 650 inhabitants nestled on the banks of the Adour in the south of the Landes, organizes its car boot sale every spring. This village, known to flea market enthusiasts for its famous Fête des Brocs on August 15th, also offers this more intimate but equally appreciated event for local bargain hunters.
Port-de-Lanne has built a strong reputation in the world of flea markets thanks to its Fête des Brocs, which attracts 40,000 visitors and 450 exhibitors each year. The spring car boot sale is part of this local tradition of trading antique and second-hand items. More modest than the big August festival, it offers a more intimate atmosphere, conducive to exchanges between neighbors and good deals.
Exhibitors, mainly individuals from the village and surrounding towns, offer a wide variety of items: crockery, clothing, toys, books, garden tools, trinkets, and small furniture. It's an opportunity to find treasures at low prices in a green and peaceful setting, on the banks of the Adour.
The village of Port-de-Lanne, with its port on the Adour and its traditional houses, offers a picturesque setting for this day of bargain hunting. Visitors can extend their visit with a walk along the river or through the streets of the historic village center.
