Annual flea market and car boot sale in the village of Vaunac, on Easter Monday
Every Easter Monday, the small village of Vaunac, nestled in the heart of the Périgord Vert between Thiviers and Saint-Jean-de-Côle, hosts its traditional flea market and car boot sale. The event takes place in the village centre, around the Place de l'Église and in the adjacent streets, offering a rural and picturesque setting for exhibitors and visitors.
Open to both professionals and individuals, the Vaunac car boot sale is one of the first events of the season in the Dordogne. Early morning bargain hunters can find old crockery, trinkets, furniture, clothes, books, and decorative items at low prices. The atmosphere is friendly and family-oriented, typical of country flea markets in the Périgord.
Vaunac is a rural commune in the Dordogne, located a few kilometres from Thiviers and Saint-Jean-de-Côle, one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France. The area is hilly, green, crisscrossed by streams and dotted with stone farmhouses. The Easter Monday car boot sale is the perfect opportunity to discover this unspoiled corner of northern Dordogne.
Light refreshments are available on site, allowing visitors and exhibitors to eat without leaving the premises. The car boot sale runs from 9 am to 5 pm.
