A car boot sale designed for children

Every year in April, the municipality of Bastelicaccia organizes a special children's car boot sale at the communal hall. This original event, initiated by the town hall, is reserved for children aged 6 to 15 years old, who can come to sell and exchange their belongings: toys, board games, books, clothes, school supplies, and anything they no longer need. The objective is twofold: to teach young people the principles of the circular economy and give them the satisfaction of earning their first pocket money through their own initiative.

The event takes place from 10 AM to 5 PM in the renovated communal hall of Bastelicaccia. Registration is done through the Bastelicaccia town hall or the municipal media library. Registration is free and open only to children aged 6 to 15.

A pedagogical and festive municipal initiative

The Bastelicaccia special children's car boot sale is part of a pedagogical and festive approach supported by the municipality. By directly involving young people in organizing their stalls, the town hall makes them responsible and introduces them to concrete concepts of economy, negotiation, and reuse of objects. It is also a great opportunity for children to meet each other in a fun setting, supervised by caring adults.

This car boot sale takes place alongside the relaunch of U Nostru Marcatu, the market for producers and artisans from the Prunelli valley, organized by the municipality on the second Sunday of each month from 9 AM to 1 PM. This double program turns the day into a true popular festival, attracting families and residents from the municipality and surrounding areas.
