Every early July, the town of Bastelicaccia hosts its Regional Collectors' Fair, an original and valuable event in the cultural landscape of Corse-du-Sud. Organized under the auspices of the association Philapostel Corsica, this two-day fair — from Saturday to Sunday, from 8 am to 6 pm on Saturday and from 8 am to 4 pm or 5 pm on Sunday — is the annual meeting for collectors of all kinds.

The 2nd edition was held on July 5 and 6, 2025, confirming the success of the first edition and the appetite of the Corsican collectors' community for this type of event. The event takes place at the community hall (under the Post Office) in Bastelicaccia, a well-equipped space that can comfortably accommodate exhibitors and visitors.

A rich and varied program

The fair offers a program structured around three complementary themes. A flea market with about twenty stands brings together all sorts of collections: stamps, coins, old postcards, books, toys, military objects, minerals, topographic maps, and all sorts of curiosities. On Saturday, a book fair is organized from 10 am to 3 pm at the media library, allowing bibliophiles to find rare works. On Sunday, a producers' market from 9 am to 1 pm complements the offer with the flavors of Corsican terroir.

Philapostel Corsica, a passionate organizer

Philapostel Corsica is the local association affiliated with the National Philapostel Federation, which brings together collectors and philatelists linked to postal services. In Bastelicaccia, the association has broadened its scope to organize this fair open to all forms of collection, making this event a true crossroads for all enthusiasts on the island.

This type of event is rare in Corsica, where collectors previously lacked a dedicated regional event. The Bastelicaccia Fair fills this gap and provides a unique opportunity for Corsican collectors to meet, exchange, and find new items to complete their collections.
