The Vide-Grenier de Soyez Marans: treasure hunting by the Sèvre Niortaise

Every summer, the Soyez Marans association organizes its big car boot sale as part of "Soyez Marans en Fête", a festive day that enlivens the town of Marais poitevin. Located on rue de Bordeaux and on the picturesque quays of Marans, this event brings together between 50 and 100 exhibitors, individuals and professionals, in an exceptional setting by the Sèvre Niortaise.

A car boot sale at the heart of a village festival

The car boot sale is just one aspect of this festive day. The association offers a rich and original program: exhibition of old breeds of chickens and poultry, tombola, wooden games for young and old, musical entertainment and fast food on the quays. In the evening, a country dinner followed by a dance party extends the festivities late into the night, creating a unique atmosphere between a village festival and a summer market.

Marans, pearl of the Marais poitevin

Marans is a small town of character located at the confluence of the Sèvre Niortaise and the canal from Marans to La Rochelle, at the gates of the Marais poitevin. Formerly a major river port, the town has retained many traces of its commercial past: the quays, the old market halls, the merchants' houses and the Saint-Pierre church. Marans is also famous for its Marans chickens, a breed of poultry renowned for the quality of its eggs. The nearby Marais poitevin, nicknamed the Green Venice, offers opportunities for boat trips through a network of canals lined with ash and poplar trees.

Information for exhibitors

Pitches are offered at 3 euros per linear meter with a minimum of 2 meters. The car boot sale takes place outdoors; tables, chairs, and umbrellas are not provided. Electricity is not available. One vehicle per stand is allowed from 5 linear meters. Registration is possible via the association's website or the downloadable registration form. Exhibitors set up from 7 am.
