Annual car boot sale on the village square of Sénezergues, organized by Sen'Noix Animations
Each spring, the small village of Sénezergues (15340) hosts its annual car boot sale on the village square. Organized by the association Sen'Noix Animations, this outdoor event brings together individuals and bargain hunters in a warm atmosphere, typical of rural gatherings in the south of Cantal.
Nestled in the Châtaigneraie cantalienne, Sénezergues is a rural commune marked by the cultivation of walnuts and chestnuts. The village, dominated by the ruins of its medieval castle and its Romanesque church, offers a remarkable panorama of the surrounding valleys. The Sen'Noix Animations association draws on this identity to liven up local life, from the famous Fête de la Noix (Festival of Rascalous) in October to the spring car boot sale.
From 9 am to 6 pm, stalls line the village square, offering a varied assortment of items: crockery, trinkets, clothing, toys, books, and small furniture. The relaxed atmosphere and the picturesque setting of the village attract visitors from all over the Châtaigneraie and beyond. The proximity of towns such as Maurs, Montsalvy, or Calvinet ensures a good customer base for this event.
The association Sen'Noix Animations's main purpose is to organize the Fête de la Noix, but it livens up the village life throughout the year with meals, bingo games, competitions, and this spring car boot sale. These events contribute to the dynamism of this small commune and finance local associative activities.
