The 2025 edition of the Vide-Grenier de Sainte-Geneviève-sur-Argence was held on Sunday, August 10th in the village center, Rue du Riols and Place du Cambon. Organized by the cultural service of the municipality of Argences-en-Aubrac, this day brought together antique dealers, artisans, and local producers around free pitches. Visitors could hunt for antiques, small furniture, books, and crockery while enjoying typically Aveyronnais food: tripous from 8 am, aligot-saucisse at 12:30 pm, followed by a giant firefighter's aligot at 8:30 pm.
On Sunday, August 10, 2025, the Vide-Grenier de Sainte-Geneviève-sur-Argence animated the center of this Viadène village, perched at 800 meters altitude in northern Aveyron. The Rue du Riols and the Place du Cambon hosted professional and private antique dealers, all benefiting from completely free pitches provided by the cultural service of Argences-en-Aubrac.
The event offered much more than a simple car boot sale: an arts and crafts market and a local producers' market allowed visitors to discover the know-how and flavors of the Aveyronnais terroir. The stalls were full of antiques, art objects, small furniture, books, and old crockery.
Gastronomy set the rhythm for this festive day: tripous served from 8 am for early risers, an aligot-saucisse meal at 12:30 pm, and as a highlight, the giant firefighter's aligot at 8:30 pm, a convivial moment bringing together locals and visitors. The Sainte-Geneviève-sur-Argence car boot sale is expected again in 2026 for a new summer edition.
