Annual car boot sale in Oizé, Sarthe
The Vide-Grenier d'Oizé, organised by the Comité des fêtes, takes place each spring in this charming Sarthe village. From 8am to 5:30pm, private sellers and browsers fill the village squares and streets for an outdoor second-hand market. Antique furniture, crockery, books, records, vintage clothing, old toys and decorative objects: the stalls offer a wide diversity of items at affordable prices.
Long organised by the Oizé Comité des fêtes, this car boot sale is deeply rooted in the village's festive traditions. Local volunteers ensure a warm welcome for sellers and buyers alike, with refreshments and food available on site. The event draws sellers from neighbouring communes and loyal visitors who make it an unmissable fixture in their spring calendar in Sarthe.
Oizé, though a modest-sized commune, shows remarkable associative dynamism. The car boot sale is one of the highlights of the local agenda, strengthening bonds between residents and giving the village a wider reach. Free entry for all visitors makes this a family-friendly event accessible to everyone.
