The L'Arbresle Jumble Sale is one of the popular events eagerly awaited in this town northwest of Lyon. Every year on May 8th, a public holiday, the town comes alive with sellers offering clothes, toys, books, crockery, trinkets and a thousand other everyday objects. The friendly and festive atmosphere of this jumble sale attracts visitors from the entire Turdine valley and surrounding communes. L'Arbresle, Rhône sub-prefecture with exceptional heritage

L'Arbresle is a town of around 6,500 inhabitants and a sub-prefecture of the Rhône, located about thirty kilometers northwest of Lyon in the Turdine valley. The town is world-renowned for housing the La Tourette convent, a masterpiece of modern architecture designed by Le Corbusier and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. L'Arbresle is also the gateway to the Pays des Pierres Dorées, a region characterized by its villages built in warm ochre stone in northern Beaujolais, whose vineyard landscapes and picturesque villages attract many visitors throughout the year.
