Annual car boot sale of Crèvecœur-en-Auge at the football stadium, Pays d'Auge
Every early June, the Crèvecœur-en-Auge football stadium hosts the annual car boot sale of Mézidon Vallée d'Auge. This delegated commune, famous for its half-timbered castle, a listed historic monument, offers a typically Augeron bucolic setting for a day of outdoor treasure hunting.
Crèvecœur-en-Auge is one of the most picturesque villages in the Pays d'Auge. Its medieval half-timbered castle, surrounded by a moat, houses the Schlumberger museum dedicated to the history of oil exploration. The village, nestled amidst apple trees and pastures, embodies the idyllic image of the Norman countryside. It is in this enchanting setting that the car boot sale takes place, on the communal football field.
The event is open from 8 am to 6 pm and brings together private exhibitors offering a wide selection of second-hand items: clothes, toys, tableware, trinkets, books, and a thousand other finds. The exhibitor fee of €3 per linear meter remains very affordable, and it is possible to keep your vehicle near the stand if space permits.
A refreshment stand and catering service are provided on-site to allow everyone to eat throughout the day. Stall reservations are made by phone. Entry is free for visitors, who can wander freely between the stalls in a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere.
