Grand XXL car boot sale on May 1st organized by the Lembras festival committee, with garlic omelette
Every May 1st, the village of Lembras comes alive for its XXL car boot sale, organized by the festival committee as part of a three-day festive weekend. Exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, set up in the village center from the morning to offer bargain hunters a wide selection of second-hand items: furniture, tableware, clothing, toys, trinkets, and curiosities.
The great tradition of May 1st in Périgord is the garlic omelette, an omelette flavored with fresh spring garlic. In Lembras, it is served at noon to delight visitors and exhibitors. The group Band'à nous provides musical entertainment from 10 AM to 4 PM, adding a festive and friendly touch to this day of outdoor bargain hunting.
Lembras is a commune of 1,500 inhabitants located a stone's throw from Bergerac, in the heart of Périgord pourpre, famous for its Bergerac and Monbazillac vineyards. The village enjoys a pleasant living environment between vineyard hills and the Dordogne valley. The May 1st car boot sale is a popular tradition that brings together people from all over the Bergerac region.
From Bergerac, take the D660 towards Creysse/Lembras (5 minutes). Free parking in the village center.
