Annual collectors' fair at the Salle Étincelle in Bergerac, organized by Les Collectionneurs Bergeracois
The Salon Multi-Collections de Bergerac, organized by the association Les Collectionneurs Bergeracois since 1989, is the unmissable event for collectors in the Périgord pourpre. Every March, the Salle Étincelle (formerly Le Parapluie, hall Raoul Géraud), rue Anatole France, hosts around a hundred professional exhibitors offering coins, postcards, old documents, books, comic books, stamps, militaria, posters, perfumes, dolls, toys, writing instruments, minerals, champagne caps, vinyl records, and many other collectibles. From 9 am to 6 pm, between 1,000 and 2,000 visitors come to hunt for treasures, exchange items, and have their pieces appraised. Numismatic experts are present for free valuations, and a thematic exhibition is offered each year.
Founded in 1989 by the association Les Collectionneurs Bergeracois, the Salon Multi-Collections de Bergerac has become one of the most important collectors' fairs in southwestern France. Located at the Salle Étincelle (formerly Le Parapluie, hall Raoul Géraud), rue Anatole France in the Picquecailloux district, this annual March fair brings together around a hundred professional and amateur exhibitors from across the region each year.
The fair offers a remarkable diversity of collections: numismatics (coins and banknotes), cartophily (old postcards), old documents, books and comic books, philately (stamps), militaria, posters, perfumes, dolls, antique toys, writing instruments, minerals, champagne caps (muselet caps), fèves, display items, and vinyl records. Some of the collections presented are truly exceptional, exhibited by internationally renowned collectors.
One of the fair's major attractions is the presence of numismatic experts who offer free valuations of coins and collectible items. Each edition features a thematic exhibition: in 2025, a retrospective on the Solex and motorized bicycles; in 2026, an exhibition dedicated to French lighthouses. A reference booklet of over 100 pages is distributed free to visitors. The club's bookbinding workshop also exhibits its creations.
A sub-prefecture of the Dordogne, Bergerac is a town of 27,000 inhabitants nestled on the banks of the Dordogne River, in the heart of the Périgord pourpre vineyards. Known for its AOC wines (Bergerac, Monbazillac, Pécharmant) and the legendary figure of Cyrano, the city boasts a charming historic center with its half-timbered houses. The collectors' fair is part of the rich cultural and associative life of this town in the Périgord.
