Each year, the annual car boot sale takes over the Rue des Gravées, the hamlet's main street, transforming this walking spot into a vast open-air treasure market.
Around 95 Exhibitors in a Unique Natural Setting
With some 95 exhibitors, the La Garette car boot sale has gained a reputation well beyond the commune of Sansais. Stalls stretch along the Rue des Gravées, offering clothing, toys, tableware, trinkets, books, tools, décor items and antiques.
La Garette, Gateway to the Wet Marsh
La Garette is one of the main boat landings for punt trips in the Wet Marsh. This hamlet attracts thousands of visitors each year who come to discover the shaded canals and exceptional wildlife of the Marais Poitevin.
