The big village car boot sale at the gateway to the Marais Poitevin
The Saint-Symphorien Village Committee car boot sale brings together around 145 private exhibitors every year in this picturesque Deux-Sevres village, at the gateway to the Marais Poitevin. Organised enthusiastically by committee volunteers, this popular event attracts bargain hunters from across the Niort area. Clothing, toys, furniture, crockery, and assorted items change hands in an authentically rural and friendly atmosphere.
Every first Sunday in May, the Saint-Symphorien Village Committee sets up its annual car boot sale, an event that has become a fixture in the Deux-Sevres flea market calendar. With around 145 exhibitors, this event goes well beyond a simple village car boot sale to establish itself as one of the most popular gatherings south of the Niort area.
The stalls of the exhibitors, all private sellers, cover a wide spectrum of merchandise: clothing for the whole family, children's toys, small furniture, ornaments, crockery, garden tools, books, records, and many other everyday items.
Saint-Symphorien is a charming Deux-Sevres village located near the Marais Poitevin. This preserved area offers a peaceful and green living environment.
Beyond the browsing, the car boot sale is above all a moment of sharing and conviviality. The committee volunteers provide refreshments and catering.
The Saint-Symphorien Village Committee car boot sale returns on May 3, 2026 in the village centre. Around 145 private exhibitors expected. Free admission, refreshments and catering on site.
