A flea market in aid of the football club

In keeping with Provençal community traditions, Le Beausset Football Club hosts its spring flea market on the stadium car park every year. The formula is tried and tested: dozens of private sellers, an easy-access car park, a refreshment stand run by volunteers and players' parents, and proceeds dedicated entirely to equipment, travel and training camps.

What's on offer

The goods vary: household bric-a-brac, children's toys, sporting equipment, bicycles, baby gear, books, crockery, summer clothing. Many locals use the day to clear out their children's outgrown school and sports kit.

A generous Beausset setting

Le Beausset, a Provençal town between Marseille and Toulon, is known for its warm atmosphere and associative initiatives. The municipal stadium offers a vast flat space ideal for vendors and visitor flow. Parents of young footballers turn out in force: sandwiches, cold drinks, coffee and homemade pastries at the stand.

A community-support event

Beyond the bargains, the market is a genuine fundraiser: every pitch sold and every sandwich bought keeps afloat a neighbourhood club that has mentored the village's children for decades. Former players often drop by.
