Annual car boot sale in Villeneuve-Minervois, at the foot of the Black Mountain in the Aude
There is no edition scheduled in 2026 for this event. This page remains accessible to archive the history of the manifestation and will be updated if a new edition is announced.
Villeneuve-Minervois, a village located at the foot of the Black Mountain in the Aude, organizes a car boot sale every year which is one of the highlights of its summer festive calendar. This typical Minervois village, nestled between chestnut forests and the first vineyards, offers an attractive setting for this popular event.
Villeneuve-Minervois occupies a transitional position between the forests and pastures of the Black Mountain and the vineyards of the Minervois. This geographical location gives it a unique character in the Aude landscape: we are here at the border of two worlds, that of the forest and wooded landscapes of the mountain and that of the garrigue and vineyards of the Minervois. The village itself, with its stone houses and medieval alleys, is of great architectural quality.
The Villeneuve-Minervois car boot sale takes place in the village center, on the main square and in the adjacent streets. It is a family event, enlivened by the villagers and attended by families from neighboring towns — Caunes-Minervois, Fraisse-Cabardès, Saissac, Malves-en-Minervois. The items offered reflect the diversity of attics and cellars in a rural village: antique furniture, crockery, clothing, toys, books, agricultural and garden equipment, decorative objects, and trinkets of all kinds.
Car boot sales in the foothills of the Black Mountain have a special atmosphere, cooler and more sylvan than those on the plains. In Villeneuve-Minervois, the air is slightly fresher than on the coast or in the Aude plain, making the day particularly pleasant even in the height of summer. Local volunteers run a refreshment stand and help create a festive and relaxed atmosphere that encourages visitors to take their time between the stalls.
The proximity of Caunes-Minervois, famous for its Benedictine abbey and its red marble, offers the opportunity to combine a visit to the car boot sale with a cultural excursion to this important site of Aude heritage. History and architecture enthusiasts will find this area a perfect complement to their day of bargain hunting.
Individuals wishing to set up a stall at the Villeneuve-Minervois car boot sale can register with the town hall or the festival committee. Entry is free for visitors.
ℹ️ 2026 edition not confirmed. At the time of our editorial review (June 2026), we found no public source (festival committee, town hall, aggregators brocabrac / vide-greniers.org / 123brocante, local press) announcing a 2026 edition of the Villeneuve-Minervois flea market. If you are the organizer and this flea market is indeed taking place, please report it via the event modification form.
The Villeneuve-Minervois flea market is traditionally organized by the Villeneuve-Minervois Festival Committee in the village center, at the foot of the Montagne Noire in Aude (11). Bargain hunters could find furniture, crockery, clothes, toys, books, and trinkets, with pitches open to both individuals and exhibitors.
