The 2025 edition of the Vide-Grenier de Plaisance was held on Sunday, September 14, in the village streets, on the Route de Coupiac. Organized by the Association Plaisance Loisirs, the event brought together exhibitors and bargain hunters for a friendly day of treasure hunting, accompanied by the traditional parade of vintage cars and agricultural machinery. The "Bruits de Comptoirs" exhibition enlivened the day, while the catering and drinks provided by volunteers allowed everyone to fully enjoy this event in the village perched above the meanders of the Rance.
The Vide-Grenier de Plaisance enlivened the village streets for its 2025 edition on Sunday, September 14. Organized by the Association Plaisance Loisirs, this annual event brought together individuals and bargain hunters in the stone alleyways of this small village in southern Aveyron, perched on its rocky promontory overlooking the Rance valley.
The stalls, set up along the Route de Coupiac and in the adjacent streets, offered the usual variety of Aveyron car boot sales: crockery and kitchenware, books and magazines, clothing for the whole family, toys, DIY tools, and various knick-knacks. Early bird bargain hunters found the best deals right from the opening, while strollers enjoyed the picturesque setting of Plaisance to wander among the stalls.
The traditional parade of vintage cars and agricultural machinery was a highlight of the day, recalling the commune's rich rural and wine-growing past. The "Bruits de Comptoirs" exhibition offered an original look at village life, adding a cultural dimension to this day of bargain hunting. Food and drinks, generously provided by the association's volunteers, allowed everyone to share a moment of conviviality in the shade of the 12th-century Romanesque Saint-Martin church, whose octagonal bell tower has overlooked the valley for centuries.
