2025 Edition of the Largentière Car Boot Sale

In June 2025, the town center of Largentière (07110) hosted the traditional annual car boot sale of this medieval Ardèche town. In this exceptional setting—cobblestone alleys, stone houses of Bas-Vivarais, a castle overlooking the town—private sellers and visitors met for a day of bargain hunting and conviviality characteristic of summer car boot sales in southern Ardèche.

The stalls offered the usual diversity of car boot sales: adult and children's clothing, furniture and decorative objects, books and comics, tableware and table arts, toys and games, trinkets and curiosities, tools and objects from rural Ardèche. Prices, freely set by sellers, remained very accessible, in the tradition of popular car boot sales.

The car boot sale, held in June, the month marking the start of the tourist season in southern Ardèche, attracted not only the inhabitants of Largentière and neighboring villages but also many passing tourists discovering the heritage of this former capital of Vivarais. Entry was free for all visitors. The medieval setting of Largentière, registered as a Remarkable Heritage Site, added a unique touch to this second-hand event.
