The Château des évêques de Viviers, which overlooks the town from its rock, dates back to the 12th century and testifies to the town's historical role in the medieval geopolitics of Languedoc and Vivarais. The collégiale Notre-Dame-des-Pommiers (13th century), the partially preserved ramparts, the Renaissance town hall, the medieval alleys, and the picturesque fountains form an urban ensemble of great historical coherence. Largentière is registered as a Remarkable Heritage Site.

Largentière is accessible from Aubenas via the D5 to the west (20 km, about 25 minutes). From Joyeuse, take the D104 to the northeast (15 km). From Les Vans, take the D5 to the northeast (20 km). The town has a main car park at the entrance. Entry to the car boot sale is free for visitors.
