The Vide-Grenier de la Saint-Cochon in Saint-Martin-sur-Ocre

For over thirty years, the Saint-Cochon car boot sale has been one of the unmissable events in the festive calendar of southern Loiret. Every last Sunday of May, the village of Saint-Martin-sur-Ocre (45500) comes alive to the rhythm of exhibitors who take over the rue du Puits to offer their finds, trinkets, clothes, and objects of all kinds.

A tradition combining flea market and gastronomy

The uniqueness of this event lies in its blend of a car boot sale and a gastronomic festival. As its name suggests, Saint-Cochon is also an opportunity to taste spit-roasted pork, sausages, and merguez prepared on-site by the organization. A refreshment stand completes the offering so that every visitor can fully enjoy the day in a friendly and warm atmosphere.

The association Les Potes de l'Ocre

It is the local association Les Potes de l'Ocre that has been organizing this event for many years. Their involvement ensures careful organization and a family-friendly environment appreciated by all. Only individuals and non-professional sellers are admitted: no resellers, no fruit and vegetable vendors, no sellers of new goods. This rule preserves the authentic spirit of the traditional car boot sale.
