Every year, on Ascension Day, Place de la Victoire in Gien transforms into a vast treasure market. The Comité des Fêtes de Gien, with the support of the City, organizes this big car boot sale which attracts some 150 exhibitors and hundreds of visitors who come to rummage through second-hand items.

Place de la Victoire: an ideal setting in the heart of Gien

Place de la Victoire, located in the very heart of Gien, offers a generous space to accommodate the exhibitors' stalls. Around this emblematic square, the adjacent streets and shaded alleys invite visitors to stroll and hunt for treasures. The proximity of the Château de Gien and the Loire river adds to the charm of this festive day.

A car boot sale open to all

The car boot sale of the Comité des Fêtes is open to everyone, individuals and professionals alike. Exhibitors arrive from 5:30 am to set up on a first-come, first-served basis, without prior reservation. The rate for exhibitors is €2.50 per linear meter. Visitors enter for free from 6 am and can hunt for treasures until the evening.
