The FC Thaon car boot sale
Each spring, the Football Club de Thaon transforms the center of this village in Calvados into a vast open-air flea market. The car boot sale brings together about 120 exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, along the village streets, attracting hundreds of bargain hunters from the Caen agglomeration.
An event established for over twenty years
Created in the early 2000s, this car boot sale celebrated its 23rd edition in 2024. It is one of the highlights of Thaon's community life and allows the football club to finance its sports activities for the village's youth and seniors.
The charm of Thaon village
Located about ten kilometers north of Caen, Thaon is a peaceful village in Calvados famous for its remarkable 12th-century Romanesque church, a listed historic monument. The car boot sale offers an opportunity to discover this heritage while browsing the stalls.
Practical information
The event takes place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the streets of the village center. Entry is free. FC Thaon volunteers provide refreshments and food throughout the day.
