In the heart of the former Carmaux mining basin, Cagnac-les-Mines holds each spring its major flea market around the multipurpose hall. Over a hundred exhibitors set up on the outdoor car park and adjacent streets for a friendly day with refreshments and food. A must-attend gathering just a few kilometres from Albi.
Cagnac-les-Mines, a village with a living mining past
Located less than ten kilometres northwest of Albi, Cagnac-les-Mines is one of the emblematic communes of the former Carmaux coalfield. This industrial past is still evident today, with the departmental Mining Museum bearing witness to over two centuries of operation. It is in this warm setting that CCA Cagnac organizes each spring a flea market that has become a landmark event in the local calendar.
A well-organized event around the multipurpose hall
The flea market takes over the outdoor car park of the multipurpose hall and extends into adjacent streets, offering generous space to exhibitors. Pitches (4m linear x 2m deep) are offered at €10. Setup between 7am and 9am, day continues until 5pm.
Bric-a-brac, conviviality and refreshments
As always in Tarn flea markets, there is a bit of everything: crockery, books, toys, clothing, decoration, furniture, tools, bikes, childcare. Prices are moderate, atmosphere welcoming.
Extending the visit in mining country
The day can be extended with a visit to the Mining Museum or a trip to UNESCO-listed Albi.

CCA Cagnac invites hunters on Sunday 10 May 2026 for the annual Cagnac-les-Mines flea market edition. 4m x 2m pitches at €10, setup 7am-9am, closing 5pm. Refreshments and food on site. Registration by email or phone with the association.
