The 2025 edition of the Vide-Grenier de Cadolive was held on May 1st in the Place de la Mairie, in the heart of this Provençal village in the Bouches-du-Rhône mining basin. Organized by the Comité des Fêtes, the event brought together up to 200 private exhibitors in the shaded alleys and central square of the village, between Gardanne and La Destrousse. Bargain hunters from the Aix-Marseille conurbation took advantage of this public holiday to find crockery, clothing, toys, knick-knacks, and collectible items at low prices, in the friendly atmosphere characteristic of this village of 2,000 inhabitants nestled at the foot of Mont Julien.
On May 1st, 2025, the village of Cadolive hosted its traditional annual car boot sale on the Place de la Mairie and in the adjacent streets. Organized by the Comité des Fêtes de Cadolive, this edition brought together up to 200 private exhibitors offering second-hand items, clothing, toys, crockery, knick-knacks, and small furniture to numerous visitors.
The public holiday of May 1st allowed bargain hunters from all over the region—Gardanne, La Destrousse, Peypin, La Bouilladisse, Aubagne, and beyond—to converge on this small Provençal village with its narrow streets and shaded squares. The warm and family-friendly atmosphere, inherited from the tradition of solidarity of the Provence mining basin, contributed to the success of this popular event.
Cadolive, a village of some 2,000 inhabitants nestled on terraces at the foot of Mont Julien in the chaîne de l'Étoile, offered a picturesque setting for this day of bargain hunting. Visitors could admire the monumental town hall built in 1902 by Albert Armand, the old washhouse from 1894, and the Saint-Lazare church with its characteristic bell tower, all witnesses to the rich mining and village heritage of the commune.
