Each year, the small village of Bignay, nestled in Haute-Saintonge in the south of Charente-Maritime, hosts a car boot sale organized by the Foyer Rural. The event takes place on the vivier site, rue de la Garenne, a pleasant green space conducive to strolling and bargain hunting.

A Local Event

This car boot sale brings together about thirty private exhibitors who unpack their second-hand treasures: trinkets, crockery, clothes, toys, books, and small furniture. The price for exhibitors is €2 per linear meter, making it an accessible event for all occasional sellers.

Bignay is a typical rural commune in Haute-Saintonge, a few kilometers from Saint-Jean-d'Angély. The village charms with its tranquility, its rolling landscapes, and its rural heritage. The car boot sale is the ideal opportunity to discover this authentic hamlet while finding good deals.

Volunteers from the Foyer Rural provide drinks and light refreshments throughout the day. Entry is free for visitors, who can enjoy the event from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM.
