Flea market and annual car boot sale at the Plan d'eau de Bernouet in Saint-Jean-d'Angély
The Brocante Vide-Greniers de Saint-Jean-d'Angély takes place every year in May at the Plan d'eau de Bernouet, avenue de Marennes, in a shaded and green setting by the water. Organized by the Lions Club of Saint-Jean-d'Angély, this event brings together between 100 and 200 exhibitors, individuals and professionals, who offer flea market items, collectibles, trinkets, and attic treasures to bargain hunters from the Vallée de la Boutonne. Saint-Jean-d'Angély, a medieval town in Saintonge known for its Royal Abbey and UNESCO-listed Towers, offers a remarkable heritage environment for this day of solidarity shopping.
Every May, the Plan d'eau de Bernouet hosts the big flea market and car boot sale of Saint-Jean-d'Angély, organized by the local Lions Club. This leisure area by the water, developed south of the town along the Boutonne river, offers a shaded and pleasant setting for a spring bargain hunting day in the heart of Saintonge.
The Lions Club of Saint-Jean-d'Angély, an international service association, organizes this flea market for the benefit of its local and international charitable activities. The profits generated from exhibitor registration fees and on-site catering are entirely donated to social, humanitarian, and environmental causes. Bargain hunting at this event is also an act of solidarity.
The event hosts between 100 and 200 exhibitors at each edition, including individuals and professionals. The registration fee is set at 3 euros per linear meter, with the possibility of parking your vehicle behind your stand (minimum 4 linear meters). Exhibitors receive a complimentary coffee upon arrival, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
