Country fair, producer market and popular entertainment in Vernon in May
The Vernon Cherry Fair is an annual popular festival that celebrates local products, Norman crafts and country traditions in the heart of Vernon's town center. Producer market, entertainment, concerts and a funfair take place every late May over several days. Next edition: May 22-25, 2026.
A true Vernon institution, the Cherry Fair is a popular festival that annually celebrates the richness of the Norman terroir and the conviviality of large open-air events. Its name evokes the beautiful cherries of the region, grown in the orchards of the hills surrounding the medieval city of Vernon, bathed by the Seine.
The Vernon Cherry Fair brings together local producers and artisans in the heart of the pedestrian town center. You will find stalls of seasonal fruits and vegetables, Norman cheeses, cider and calvados, honey, jams, and artisanal charcuterie. Entertainment for children and adults, carousels, concerts, and itinerant shows liven up the streets and squares of Vernon for several days. The festive atmosphere and the historic setting of the town center make this fair a moment of conviviality particularly appreciated by residents and tourists.
For the 2026 edition, the Vernon Cherry Fair will be held from Friday, May 22 to Monday, May 25 in the pedestrian town center. These four days of festivities will allow families to enjoy a varied program combining a producer market, cultural entertainment, an open-air concert, and a funfair. The exceptional historic setting of Vernon, with its medieval keep and picturesque streets, adds a special charm to this popular event.
