The ALTECO recycling center of Moustey

The L'Altéco association, created in Moustey in Haute Lande, is developing a recycling-resource center project with participatory workshops. Its objective is to give a second life to objects while raising awareness among residents about environmental protection and eco-responsible practices. The recycling center is located on the former Garaude industrial wasteland, in the very heart of the village.

A solidarity sale concept

The ALTECO solidarity sale operates on the principle of donations and resale at low prices. Residents can drop off items they no longer need: furniture, small appliances, dishes, books, clothes, and trinkets. These items are then offered for sale at solidarity prices, accessible to all budgets. Appointments are required, allowing for personalized service.

Participatory workshops

Beyond sales, L'Altéco offers workshops for repairing furniture, small appliances, and computers. A Créalab, a kind of Fablab accessible to the general public, complements the association's offerings. These workshops promote the transfer of know-how and the autonomy of participants in repairing their everyday objects.

Moustey, a village in Haute Lande

Moustey is a commune of about 700 inhabitants located in the heart of Haute Lande, on the departmental road connecting Bordeaux to Mont-de-Marsan. The village, which also hosts the Bâthestia Récup' recycling center specializing in construction materials, has become a hub for the circular economy in the Landes department. L'Altéco benefits from the support of the CAF des Landes, the municipality, and the Cœur Haute Lande community of communes.

How to participate

To drop off donations or make purchases, simply make an appointment by phone at 06 83 96 11 57. Appointments allow for personalized service and appropriate sorting of items. L'Altéco accepts all types of donations in good condition: furniture, dishes, small appliances, books, clothing, and decorative items. Sale prices are set on a solidarity basis, accessible to all budgets, as part of a reuse and waste reduction effort.
