This event, integrated into a rich festive program, is organized by the association le Bouchon des Deux Leyre under the supervision of the Pissos festival committee.

A Car Boot Sale at the Heart of the Village Festivities

The car boot sale takes place behind the church and on the village square, in the rural setting of this Grande Lande commune. It is part of four days of festivities that bring the entire community together: a musical aperitif followed by meals, pétanque, ball-trap organized by the ACCA of Pissos, a hike, a tea dance, a cycling race, bullfighting events with bulls, and fireworks. The car boot sale adds a touch of bargain hunting to this complete program.

Pissos, Between the Two Leyre Rivers

Pissos is a typical commune of Grande Lande, crossed by the two branches of the Leyre river which join downstream to form the Leyre that flows into the Arcachon basin. This preserved natural setting, in the heart of the Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park, gives a special charm to the Pentecost festivities and the accompanying car boot sale.

Practical Information

Exhibitor setup starts at 6:30 AM. The fee is €2 per linear meter. A snack bar is available on site. Registrations can be made by calling 06 81 30 77 80. The event takes place on Pentecost Sunday, within the festivities that last from Friday to Monday.
