The village car boot sale in the heart of the Landes forest
Trensacq, a small village in the Haute Lande nestled in the middle of the pine forest, organizes its car boot sale every year on the village squares. The event, supported by the local association L'Asso Net, takes over the Place de l'Église and the picturesque Place du Diable for a village-atmosphere flea market day.
With about fifteen exhibitors, the Trensacq car boot sale focuses on conviviality rather than quantity. The stalls, set up outdoors, offer the usual finds from Landes attics: dishes, tools, clothes, toys, and trinkets. Exhibitor setup begins at 6:30 am, and the market is open to the public from 8 am to 6 pm.
Trensacq, a commune of just under 300 inhabitants, is one of those villages in the great Landes forest where time seems to stand still. The church, the half-timbered houses, and the surrounding pine forest create an idyllic bucolic setting for a morning of treasure hunting. The crepe stand and on-site catering allow visitors to extend their stay in a good-natured atmosphere.
