The 2025 edition of Trouvailles et Tripou was held on Sunday, May 25th, in the medieval town of Sévérac-le-Château. Under the name « Tripou et Trouvailles au Plô », this day brought together treasure hunters and food lovers at the foot of the thousand-year-old castle of Sévérac, in an exceptional heritage setting in the heart of Aveyron. Visitors could find second-hand items at the car boot sale stalls while enjoying tripou, a specialty from Aveyron made from stuffed veal maw, slow-cooked for hours.
On Sunday, May 25, 2025, the medieval town of Sévérac-le-Château hosted the 2025 edition of Trouvailles et Tripou, named « Tripou et Trouvailles au Plô ». This original event took over the narrow streets and squares of this Petite Cité de Caractère in Aveyron, at the foot of the thousand-year-old fortress perched at an altitude of 817 meters.
Throughout the day, the stalls of private sellers offered a wide range of second-hand items to treasure hunters: antique tableware, books, clothing, toys, bric-a-brac, and small furniture. In parallel, food stalls served tripou, an emblematic dish of Aveyron gastronomy, prepared traditionally with stuffed veal maw, local ham, parsley, and garlic, slow-cooked for many hours over low heat.
The medieval town provided a remarkable heritage setting for this friendly day, with the Maison de Jeanne featuring 15th-century half-timbering, the Maison des Consuls with its painted ceilings, and the Sestayral, an old grain hall.
