The Amplepuis Toys, Games and Baby Equipment Fair is a specialist event held at the Salle de l'Étincelle, the town's main multipurpose hall. Designed for families with children, it brings together sellers offering exclusively second-hand items for the youngest: board games, educational toys, puzzles, wooden toys, soft toys, figurines, Lego, children's bikes, clothing in all sizes (0-14 years), shoes, pushchairs, car seats, cots, baby monitors and various equipment for babies and young children. Prices set by sellers are deliberately affordable to allow all families to equip themselves or refresh their children's wardrobe without breaking the bank.

Amplepuis, capital of the Haut-Beaujolais

Amplepuis is a town of around 5,000 inhabitants located in the Haut-Beaujolais, in the western part of the Rhône department, in the Beaujolais hills. The main town of the Amplepuis-Thizy community of communes, it serves as a centre for life and services for an entire rural territory. Amplepuis is known worldwide thanks to its most famous son: Marius Berliet, a pioneer of the automobile and founder of the Berliet brand, who was born here in 1866. The town has a motor museum dedicated to his work. Surrounded by forests, hills and gorges, Amplepuis offers a remarkable natural setting and a quality of life appreciated throughout the Haut-Beaujolais.
