200 exhibitors to close the summer season

The Torreilles Car Boot Sale is one of the largest treasure-hunting events at the end of the summer season in the Pyrénées-Orientales. With its 200 private exhibitors, it spreads its stalls in the heart of Torreilles village, offering visitors a huge bargain-hunting area where they can find all kinds of items: clothes, children's toys, old and recent books, dishes, kitchen utensils, small furniture, trinkets, vinyl records, video games, and various items. A large turnout is expected, as every year.

Torreilles, authentic village near the coast

Located 7 kilometers from the coast and 12 kilometers northeast of Perpignan, Torreilles is a Catalan commune of about 3500 inhabitants that combines village charm with immediate proximity to the coast. Its seaside resort, Torreilles-Plage, offers a long fine sandy beach on the Gulf of Lion. The historic village retains its authenticity with its alleys, its church, its small squares, and its Catalan traditions. The late August car boot sale allows the last vacationers of the resort to enjoy a local event while making good deals before the start of the new school year.

A friendly and unmissable event

On August 30, the entire village center comes alive: exhibitors from all over the Salanque, Roussillon, and even beyond, local bargain hunters and vacationers, curious onlookers and vintage enthusiasts. The atmosphere is relaxed, the café and restaurant terraces welcome bargain hunters between two finds, and the event becomes a real moment of sharing and meeting. The proceeds from the pitches often contribute to the financing of local animations, in the village's associative tradition.
