About Kutzenhausen Flea Market

The 25th Oberkutzenhausen Flea Market is a must-attend anniversary event in northern Alsace. Organized in the hamlet of Oberkutzenhausen, an integral part of the commune of Kutzenhausen, it takes place on Sunday, May 3, 2026 on rue des Mineurs and adjacent streets. With 95 exhibitors expected, this village flea market offers a wide variety of finds: antique dishware, books, toys, clothing, trinkets, furniture, tools, collectibles and curiosities. A small village in the Hanau region, Oberkutzenhausen, whose name recalls the region's mining past, welcomes hundreds of bargain hunters every year who come to enjoy the rural and friendly atmosphere of this quarter-century-old event.

A quarter century of history

The Oberkutzenhausen Flea Market celebrates its 25th edition in 2026, a remarkable anniversary for a village flea market. Created a quarter of a century ago by local volunteers, this event has become a must-attend for bargain hunters in northern Alsace. It is part of the hamlet's festive tradition and brings together residents, exhibitors and visitors from throughout the department every year to hunt for bargains, chat and enjoy the spring weather.

An authentic rural flea market

With 95 exhibitors expected in 2026, the Oberkutzenhausen flea market is set up all along rue des Mineurs and in the neighboring lanes of the hamlet. Stalls offer a very wide range of goods: antique dishware and porcelain, glassware, trinkets, books and old newspapers, vinyl records, clothing, toys, nursery items, household linen, tools, small furniture, vintage farming objects, Alsatian earthenware, kougelhopf molds, antique postcards and souvenirs. It's one of those village flea markets where you can still make great finds at reasonable prices, in a family and authentic atmosphere.

Kutzenhausen and its mining past

Kutzenhausen is a small commune of about 770 inhabitants located in the north of Bas-Rhin, a few kilometers from Woerth and the German border. Its hamlet of Oberkutzenhausen, where the flea market is held, recalls through the name of its rue des Mineurs (Miners' Street) the industrial past of the region. Northern Alsace was indeed long a mining territory, notably for oil at Merkwiller-Pechelbronn, but also for other resources. Today, the region has regained its rural and tourist vocation, with its orchards, forests and natural heritage. This flea market is an opportunity for visitors to discover this little-known hamlet, charged with history and Alsatian authenticity.
