Summer flea market in the Breton marsh of Vendée
Each summer, Soullans holds an open-air flea market attracting local bargain-hunters and tourists from the nearby Vendée coast. 2026 edition on Sunday 19 July. A summer morning in this Breton marsh village, minutes from Saint-Jean-de-Monts beaches.
In the heart of the Vendée summer, Soullans runs its Sunday flea market, a traditional July gathering in the Breton marsh. 2026 edition: Sunday 19 July.
Set up centrally in the village, the market attracts private sellers from neighbouring communes and holidaying families clearing a few boxes — resulting in a huge variety of goods in a friendly summer atmosphere.
Kids' bikes, boogie boards, beach toys, but also vintage crockery, books, vinyl, retro clothes, small furniture, tools. Collectors hunt local items: old Pays de Monts tourist posters, Vendée postcards.
Sellers only, ensuring accessible prices and relaxed bargaining.
Charles Milcendeau studio-house is a gem, reconstructing a late-19th-century marsh interior. Village has shops, bakeries and restaurants.
Challans 5 km (duck, Tuesday market), Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie 20 km (fishing port), Saint-Jean-de-Monts 15 km (beach, forest).
