The 14 July flea market

Each year, the Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard VTT (mountain bike) association runs its big flea market on Bastille Day. 2026: Tuesday 14 July at Clos Thorel, a shaded riverside plot on route de Longeville. One of the south Vendée coast's flagship mid-season events.

120 exhibitors, exceptional setting

Clos Thorel is a tree-lined riverside area — ideal July shade. 120 stalls from 8am-6pm. The 14 July crowd + quality venue = flagship of the south littoral.

What you'll find

Mostly private sellers: summer clothes, toys, crockery, books, records, knick-knacks, small furniture, tools, beach/sport gear. Seaside brings sea items, holiday souvenirs, surf and fishing gear. Some amateur brocanteurs with vintage/antiques.

Prices and booking

€12 per 3 linear metres (blocks of 3: 3, 6, 9...). Free coffee per exhibitor. Booking mandatory from 1 July via VTT. Free parking, WC on site.

Food trucks and bar

Morning: pastries and apple pies. Afternoon: two food trucks — FouD'Poulet (wood-fired roast chicken, sausages, merguez) and Le Tub à Crêpes (sweet/savoury galettes). VTT-run bar. Stay all day.

Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard, Clemenceau's resort

Authentic family south-Vendée seaside resort, best known as Georges Clemenceau's final home. His house « Bel Ébat » is a museum. Fine-sand beaches, small harbour, very active community (VTT runs many events).
