Early-morning bargain hunting in a small village at the foot of Mont Ventoux
Saint-Pierre-de-Vassols, a tiny village of 500 inhabitants at the foot of Mont Ventoux, opens its centre streets to a flea market organised by the school parents' association. Sunday 21 June 2026, from 6:30 am, for a friendly morning of bargain hunting among cherry orchards and Ventoux AOC vineyards.
Saint-Pierre-de-Vassols has barely 500 inhabitants and sits between Caromb, Crillon-le-Brave and Mormoiron. A rural community on the Ventoux foothills, it lives to the rhythm of vines (AOC Ventoux), cherries and olives. The parents' association organises its yearly flea market in this intimate setting.
The flea market opens at 6:30 am, to the delight of seasoned hunters. Stalls are set up in the cool Provençal morning, mainly by villagers and private sellers from the surrounding area.
Old Provençal linen, tableware, toys, books, small rustic furniture, farming tools, children's toys, clothing. Soft prices, drawn-out conversations: rural flea market spirit at its best.
All proceeds fund the parents' association: school trips, teaching materials, activities. Volunteers run a refreshment stand.
The Saint-Pierre-de-Vassols flea market will take place on Sunday 21 June 2026, from 6:30 am, in the village centre. Organised by the school parents' association, it gathers private sellers in an authentic setting at the foot of Mont Ventoux. Free admission. Refreshments benefit the school.
