On Place du 11 novembre, just off the seafront, Saint-Jean-de-Monts's flea market opened in May 2025 to the delight of Ascension long-weekend bargain-hunters. Private sellers offered the traditional Vendée variety. Early season tourists and second-home owners made up much of the crowd.
