The patronal festival of the perched village above the gorges
Châteaudouble is one of the Var's most spectacular villages: perched at 560 metres altitude on a rocky spur, it dominates the vertiginous gorges of the Nartuby.
The Patronal Feast of Saint John the Baptist will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, in Châteaudouble (Var): religious celebration, procession, and traditional Saint John's fire (lit on the evening of June 23). This free event, open to all visitors and residents of the village, is organized by the municipality around the village's patron saint. The village festival, meanwhile, takes place in early August (August 1st to 3rd, 2026) in the square, with its traditional giant aïoli and pétanque competition.
Châteaudouble village square. Access via D955 from Draguignan (15 km).
Saint-Jean-Baptiste: 24 June. Village festival: early August. 2026 dates to confirm.
