The spring réderie in the centre of the Picardy village
The Talmas Spring Réderie is an annual rendezvous for bargain hunters in the heart of this Doullennais village, north of Amiens. Organized in the village centre, this Picardy réderie gathers private sellers and bargain lovers for a friendly spring day. An authentic event, in the tradition of rural bargain hunting gatherings that make the richness of the Somme. Free admission for visitors.
Every spring, the village of Talmas hosts its réderie in the village centre. This event, which perpetuates a specifically Picardy word and tradition, brings together residents of Talmas and surrounding villages around a shared desire: to clear attics and cellars to give a second life to everyday objects.
Talmas is a village of about 600 inhabitants located in the Doullennais, this agricultural sub-region of northern Somme, about twenty kilometres north of Amiens. Saint-Martin church, Picardy farms and red brick houses compose this typical northern department landscape.
The centre of Talmas transforms on the Sunday of the réderie into a vast open-air market. Exhibitors, mostly private, set up their stalls along the main streets. You will find the typical bric-à-brac of réderies: tableware, linen, books, vinyls, toys, clothes, small furniture, tools.
Beyond the stalls, the Talmas Spring Réderie is a day of encounters and conviviality. Volunteers provide welcome, a refreshment stand, often grilled food. Families are numerous, children circulate between stalls.
Visiting Talmas for its réderie also means discovering a lesser-known sub-region of the Somme. The Doullennais offers quiet landscapes, authentic villages. After the réderie, enthusiasts can detour via the Vauban citadel of Doullens.
The Talmas Spring Réderie returns on Sunday 10 May 2026 in the village centre. An annual rendezvous for Doullennais bargain hunters, it will gather private sellers from the village and surroundings for a friendly day in the pure Picardy tradition. Free admission.
