Bertangles is a small village of about 700 inhabitants 12 km north of Amiens, famous for its 18th-century castle owned by the Clermont-Tonnerre family and listed Monument Historique.
Built in the Louis XV style, the castle is one of the finest examples of civil architecture in the Somme.

Amiens Cathedral nearby, Somme battlefields too. Bertangles is where the Red Baron Manfred von Richthofen died in 1918.
