The annual 8 May car boot sale in Champdivers, between Dole and the Forêt de Chaux
Every May 8th, a public holiday and day of commemoration, the village of Champdivers hosts its traditional flea market-car boot sale. Organized by the association Animation Loisirs Champdivers, this event has become a must-attend for bargain hunters in the Dole plain, bringing together around 115 exhibitors around the village hall.
The unique feature of this event is that it is exclusively for private sellers: professionals are not accepted. This ensures an authentic village car boot sale atmosphere, with low prices and a very diverse range of items. You can find toys, clothes, crockery, small furniture, books, trinkets, and all sorts of everyday objects that residents wish to resell.
Champdivers is a village in the Jura plain, located about ten kilometers south of Dole, on the edge of the Forêt de Chaux. This immense state forest, one of the largest in France, offers a remarkable natural setting. Visitors to the car boot sale can extend their day with a walk in the forest or by discovering the nearby heritage sites of Dole.
