The Puces des Couturières de Rignac: the creative meeting point of the Ségala

Since 2022, the association Récréa' Rignac has been organizing the Puces des Couturières et des Loisirs Créatifs every year in the Espace André Jarlan, a multi-purpose hall located at Place du Foirail in Rignac. This themed event brings together about thirty exhibitors, both private and professional, around a concept dedicated to the world of sewing, haberdashery, and creative hobbies. A unique event in the Ségala aveyronnais for lovers of thread arts and manual creation.

Rignac is a lively town located in the Ségala, a natural region in western Aveyron characterized by its shale plateaus and deep valleys. Labeled Station Verte and awarded three flowers in the Villes et Villages Fleuris competition, the commune offers a remarkable living environment between nature and heritage. The ethnobotanical trail "Al Travers", 7.5 km long, connects the Ségala plateau to the gorges of the Aveyron and testifies to the natural and landscape richness of the territory. The association Récréa' Rignac, run by volunteers passionate about culture and leisure, has been organizing this event since its creation in 2022. The Espace André Jarlan, a heated hall accessible to people with reduced mobility, offers a comfortable setting for exhibitors and visitors. A refreshment stand offering coffee, tea, drinks, and cakes allows visitors to extend their treasure hunting pleasure in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

The Puces des Couturières are part of a virtuous approach to the circular economy and reuse. Unused sewing supplies, fabrics lying dormant in wardrobes, and neglected creative materials find a second life here with enthusiasts who know how to make the most of them.
