Every last Sunday of March, the Pont-d'Ain village hall hosts the Puces des couturières, a unique event of its kind in the Ain region. Organized by the patchwork club "Toutes des Artistes 01", this specialized market has become, in four editions, a must-attend event for textile art enthusiasts in the region.

A market dedicated to needle arts

Unlike traditional flea markets, the Puces des couturières focus exclusively on the world of textiles and artisanal creation. Exhibitors offer fabric remnants, threads and yarns, haberdashery, buttons, ribbons, patterns, sewing books, second-hand sewing machines, embroidery and patchwork materials. It's the perfect opportunity to find quality supplies at advantageous prices.

A warm setting by the Ain river

The Pont-d'Ain village hall, located on Quai Justin Reymond along the Ain river, offers a covered and bright space perfectly suited for this event. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, with exchanges between sewing enthusiasts flowing freely between the stalls. A refreshment stand and snacks are available on-site, with the option of booking a hot meal.

Practical Information

The Puces des couturières take place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Entry is free for visitors. The stall fee is 7 euros for a table of 1.60 m x 0.80 m (one clothing rack allowed per exhibitor, not provided). Registration must be completed before March 16th. Parking is free near the village hall.
