Back-to-school flea market in Pruniers, near Issoudun
The September flea market in Pruniers marks the return of bargain hunters to this village on the outskirts of Issoudun. Professional and private sellers offer furniture, trinkets, tableware, and various items in a pleasant rural setting.
Every year in September, the village of Pruniers hosts a flea market that signals the start of the hunting season in Indre. Exhibitors, both professional and private, set up their stalls to offer antique furniture, trinkets, tableware, tools, books, clothing, toys, and second-hand items. The event attracts bargain hunters from all over the canton of Issoudun and surrounding towns.
Pruniers is a commune of about 800 inhabitants located a few kilometers south of Issoudun, on the borders of Champagne berrichonne and Boischaut Nord. The village is crossed by the Théols, a small river that also flows through Issoudun. The landscape consists of the large cereal plains of Berry, dotted with groves and old farms. The commune is known for its seamstresses' flea market, an original event dedicated to fabrics and haberdashery.
The September flea market in Pruniers is an opportunity to enjoy the last warm days of summer while hunting for treasures. A refreshment stand and food service are available. Admission is free.
The Pruniers flea market returns on September 13, 2026.
