Privezac Car Boot Sale

The Privezac Car Boot Sale once again enlivened the streets of this medieval village in northern Aveyron for the 2025 edition, on May 8th. Organized by the FRER association, this annual event brought together exhibitors and treasure hunters in the heart of the village, on the Place des Arcades and in the adjacent streets, in a warm and family atmosphere typical of rural Aveyron car boot sales.

The stalls, set up from 7 am, offered the usual variety of country car boot sales: antique tableware and kitchen items, books and comics, clothing for the whole family, toys and board games, DIY tools, second-hand furniture, and all sorts of trinkets. Early bird treasure hunters could take advantage of the 8 am opening to spot the best deals, while later strollers enjoyed a leisurely browse among the aisles throughout the day.

The village atmosphere of Privezac, a former fortified village whose castle with 365 windows marked the history of Rouergue, provided a unique setting for this day of treasure hunting. At 500 meters altitude, between the valleys of Ségala and the Montbazens plateau, visitors could appreciate the green landscapes and the village's architectural heritage, before possibly continuing their exploration to the remarkable sites in the surrounding area: the medieval ruins of Peyrusse-le-Roc, the Château de Bournazel, or the listed village of Belcastel.
