The professionals' rendezvous, twice weekly in front of the Avignon covered market
Every Tuesday and Thursday morning, Place Pie becomes a treasure-hunting ground for collectors. Unlike Sunday flea markets, this brocante is strictly reserved for professionals: antique dealers, licensed brocanteurs, specialised merchants. Between 20 and 30 exhibitors display antique furniture, paintings, silverware, clocks, porcelain, jewellery, rare books and collectibles. Stands are not reserved in advance: they are allocated each morning at 7:30am according to availability, at 24.15€ per stand.
Place Pie is dominated by the covered food market (Tuesday to Sunday mornings). Its north facade is covered by a spectacular vertical garden created in 2005 by botanist Patrick Blanc, 11.5 metres high and 30 metres wide — one of France's most famous green walls.
A curated professional selection: authentic Provençal furniture, side tables, bureaus, antique mirrors, lamps, southern school paintings, postcards, stamps, coins, Art Deco jewellery, collector watches, faience, silverware, vintage advertising, old papers, antique books.
Every Tuesday and Thursday morning, year-round, including public holidays. Stalls set up from 7:30am, market until mid-morning.
